If these tabloid spoilers (foilers?) for Doctor Who are correct, I may weep. Tears of blood, people. Weeping. There are no words. At all. I just... that... talk about any squee being harshed!

angst, spoiler whore, doctor who

God, I know. I've defended RTD re: his treatment of female characters in the past, but if that's really true, wow.

And next up they'll all make up by having a pillow fight! The worst part is that RTD etc don't seem to get exactly why we'd be upset about something like this *sighs*

That's so...ridiculous. RTD can't let women define themselves outside of the men they are with, can he? He let Rose do it sometimes, but if he brings her back only to regress her like that after making me hopeful that she has grown and progressed in the other world...not cool Rusty. Not cool.

*digs around for her 'sane Doctor/Rose shipper' hat*

Martha saved the world without the Doctor by her side, Rose has been off in Alt!Verse and hopefully being all Strong and Independent with Torchwood (the crying was a last-time thing, I hope) and Donna didn't take any shit from the Doctor last time we saw her... and now we're being given this. So very not of the cool.

Exactly. I had a whole thing written out pretty well like that (except I don't mind Rose crying. She's an emotional girl. As long as she cries but doesn't cry forever!) but it's late/early and I wasn't sure I was talking sense!

I wish it would be like the latter part of the ep with Sarah Jane-they bond over this crazy man and their crazy lives with him and they realise that they all know some pretty amazing things now. He might have been the conduit to that but they have that power for themselves. Bimbo chick fights are kinda below you at a certain point, aren't they?
