I've been wanting to make an icon with the Doctor and Old Man River (Showboat, yay!) lyrics for a while and this image and the whole scene made me want it.

Of course, I've saved the file as "tenriver.jpg" and this might be doing some weird things to my multi-fandom loving, "crossovers, yay!" brain.

So Nine materializes on Serenity, where Rose dies a horrible death (much weeping and sobbing entails), and because Simon also died a horrible death, River sees there isn't anything keeping her on Serenity, and Nine takes a shine to her, cos she is so obviously crazy, and invites her to travel with him, and River decides to go......and River is so perfect cos she can save Nine's arse every now and then....and ..and...and...

Oh! And River is (almost) as smart as the Doctor! So yays! She can hold her own -- and tell him how to get the TARDIS working better. Can you imagine how pissed off he'd be? It would be fantastic!

Don't look at me. I can come up with the ideas, but carrying through is another story!! But someone needs to write it, because it deserves better than making the next "six crossovers Smurfy will never write" list.

Me too. I'm Ideas Girl, but writing them is another thing entirely. But you've got a lot of fic writers on your flist, yes? Maybe chuck it up as a plot bunny and see who takes it and runs with it. I don't think I have any Who writers on my flist - although I have a few good Firefly ones.
