Oh hell yeah! Finally I watched SH and I'm freaking excited. Damn, this movie was genius! Robert did it! Sherlock (I mean, the character) was exacly like I imagined him: nearly always hungover, drinking mysterious liquids, genius, with very logical way of thinking and connecting facts. Geee

That movie seriously, seriously is freaking awesome. I have to admit to being tipsy when I saw it the first time, which resulted in being less than impressed, but upon successive viewings I've become a love machine that will work for no movie but this one. XD

Also, period costume = very yes.

I totally love that movie, I could watch it again and again to no end, really. To be honest, my first image of Holmes is nowhere like the one in this movie, I always imagine him as a cool guy, deep in thoughts, and calm. But i really like RDJ's portrayal of him, it opens my mind about his other personality.
Oh, that scene! I'm looking for it as well, but it's not in the film! Deleted scene maybe?

And I must agree with you about the sketches. I stayed for a while inside the cinema just to see those incredible sketches. I wonder who's the artist? :)
