For those who haven't been linked to it elsewhere, OkCupid's new statistics blog is freaking awesome. A couple of the math-heads who helped put together the matching system are doing data mining and analysis on various questions that OkCupid users have answered ( Read more... )

wow.. That is pretty interesting, both that they are looking at the data and the data that is generated. Thanks for posting this.

I guess the lesson learned is that "hello" is no longer an acceptable greeting.
I wonder what the data would show if people were polled about it, compared to how they actually responded.
