I drove the MGB to work today. On the way home, the idle started acting funny, and kept getting lower and lower. At one point, I actually stalled while pulling into a stop sign since my feet were too busy braking and shifting to be bothered with the gas pedal

Your real problem is that you went by Kimball's and didn't stop for ice cream. ;)

When you own the same (type of) car for a prolonged period of time, you build up a collection of spare parts for that car.
