Beautiful character piece. I read this whole thing with tears in my eyes mumbling: 'Oh Dean.' And that last line? You were already tugging on the heartstrings...that line broke them! I think you like breaking your readers as much as you like breaking Dean!!! Great job, though. Loved it! :)

That was fucking amazing. Like. The scenario you chose, of clothes-choosing, for his identity quest to play out in, and the me-and-Dad-share-a-wardrobe angle, and the funny little moments that make the rest of it so fucking heartbreaking, like the forest green shirt for hiding in the forest as plan B, and the needing to find out if he secretly likes looking like a leprechaun before he dies. Jesus Christ. WELL PLAYED, MADAM, WELL PLAYED.

I don't even know what happened there! One minute I'm writing about the boys sitting in a bar, discussing hairstyles and suddenly something makes me delete everything and send them clothes shopping and it's just SO SAD, I don't even...

Wow, being in this headspace was so depressing and intense -- you did such an excellent spinning out a look at Dean's psyche in just one clothes-choosing scene. Awesome!

Somehow, with all the shit that they've been through since, part of me still feels like S3 is the epitome of angst potential. So much hope and terrifying angst all twisted around each other.
