melting_girl and I would drive up from Santa Cruz to go to that club *all* the time. It ran during the early- to mid-nineties. violentbloom would also likely recall Drug #6. What I remember most about that place is, in general, the female clubgoers did not wear much in the way of clothing and Sex on Wheels by Thrill Kill Kult got played *every* week. Kinda appropriate that, when Drug #6 closed, the venue became the Gold Club.
The mention of "smart drugs" alone screams early nineties, does it not? :)
