It was SO much more fun than i'd imagined. grinning. It was the best kind of reunion. Pulling into the parking garage at the Zoellner Arts Center, (we were way early) we opened the windows and cranked up the ( Read more... )

Awww.. I am very touched by this.
I too grew up on the Partridge Family goodness.
Memories of warm family times all watching this happy show come back to me and I even can say somehow to my child the mother with her beauty remindded of my mum - the goodness and warmth in her.

Thanks for the memory.
Secondly I am so glad and healed to hear he was wonderful!

For some reason I musta read something bad against him in some old newspaper years back and that kinda stuff hurts when it was a teen idol of your inner child.

I am glad he is beautiful as a singer and a performer still:-)

Ohhh.. thanks for sharing this with me, Col.

I think that this was a kinder gentler time, and the people that loved this show, have some warm family memories of watching this together. :) For my mom and I, it was a ritual. (My dad would retire to their bedroom to watch sports, but he and I had our "special" shows together... Lassie, and Bonanza) Shirley Jones was such a sweet warm entity of a mum in this show. So cool that your mum had that kind of energy. (My mom KNEW how to get me where I lived. THE worst punishment that I can recall for not behaving, was to not be able to watch The Partridge Family. Talk about behavior management)

I believe that my love of being on the road, originated from watching The Partridge Family. It was such a romantic wholesome goodness.
