I have an addiction to morning TV. At least, I have an addiction on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when I get up at 5.30am and am having breakfast around 7am. It's crack, yo, with the cringing at
Today and
Sunrise, and often throwing things at the TV.
Two things that happened in two days: yesterday morning at 7am, Jessica Rowe was interviewing the person in charge of the Australian forces in East Timor and asked him how safe he could feel over there, given the number of armed soldiers standing behind him. He responded with the dry comment that he feels perfectly safe and these soldiers were placed there by the Today stage manager. Oops!
And then this morning, in the Hollywood Report on Sunrise at 6.50am,
Nelson Aspen spoiled the nation for the season finale of The O.C. Mel and Kochie had a very gobsmaked expression. It was slightly classic.
