I'm actually posting another drabble! At long last. I've been on unintentional hiatus for far too long. I can't promise my previous posting frequency will resume, but I can promise that I'll try to get some more done and posted in the near future.
For now, here's one written especially for eeveekitty85, for Christmas, albeit a teensy bit late. Hopefully the spirit of Christmas is not too long deceased that this isn't in season anymore :o) So, this is my thirty-ninth drabble for the doctorwho_100 challenge.

It’s dark outside the school, and the night air tingles with festive excitement and the bite of frost.
A tiny boy bundled in hat and mittens bounces eagerly at a small girl, whose huge toothy smile and shepherd’s headdress tea towel stand out against her dark skin in the sharp winter moonlight.
“You were the most beautiful shepherd I’ve ever seen,” her mother tells her proudly, bringing forth more beaming smiles. “Shall we go home to Daddy and Tisha? They’re very sad they missed your play.”
First Shepherd Martha Jones clutches her toy lamb to her chest and nods happily.
