I guess you really haven't had that "uh... yeah, okay, um..." moment yet, even though Piglet has been on her own forever years. It's kind of weird when that hits you.

I've gotten very selfish in the last few years. It's good, but it's disturbing to me, still, because that's not the way I learned to deal with the world for most of my life.

But we're all in this together! XD

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. But I probably haven't. I've been too busy working and then getting ready for everyone and now it will be dealing with this and getting ready for the wedding in April.

Ah ok. yeah I think my sister had that last week. Since she has lived away for so long, she is dealing with it as a daughter who lost her mother. I on the other hand am dealing with it as a caretaker that no longer has that responsibility.
It might hit and it might not. One of my coworkers was all..."but Melinda, you don't have any parents anymore, doesn't that bother you?" to which my reply was. I haven't had any parents for a very long time. I've been like the parent. and I have grieved that part of it before now.

But I do get what you are saying.

How funny is it that it takes a death to get some family members talking again. *shakes head* I'm glad the visit and the service went well. *hugs*

It is a shame. But it has helped my Aunt and that makes it worth while.
