Except a) I had neither seen nor read either at the time I wrote this down b) the idea is original in the fact that it is mine even though there are similar stories out there c) the point is not that I can come up with a completely original idea (a task that is in itself almost impossible after more than 2000 years of recorded literature), it is that the story I have created (and I did propagate the idea for this solely on my own) is something that I like enough to bother writing down. d) The Time Machine was a horrible movie and a disgraceful butchering of the novel and e) exactly why the fuck do you care about an idea I jotted down almost six months ago?
