stereo storage

Do any of you guys have mini/bookshelf stereo systems? If so, what do you put them on? I can't find anything like I'm looking for out there...

I've actually already got one like that in my living room that I'm using for an end table. :) What I'm using now for my stereo is similar, but about the height of a microwave cart. I like the height, but it's not wide enough to hold my speakers, just my actual stereo, and plus it's ugly. I may just paint it and get speaker stands if I can't find anything else...

I just have mine on the top of the dresser. I used to have it on the top shelf of a bookcase, and before that on the top shelf of the hutch over my desk.
