I am Daisy is the proud owner of a "new" queen-size bed! (Thanks to picklepopsicle for pointing out the craigslist post.)

It has a different name than this one but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing or very similar. Hopefully this will help with some of my neck problems AND help alleviate some of my cat-on-Amber problems. I do need to find a stepstool or ( Read more... )

I've already looked at your stuff, and although I love the living room set, it totally wouldn't fit in my tiny living room (and I can't afford it!). :(

TV's are overrated...LOL. Mine hardly ever gets turned on. The onlt reason I keep it is for the ccaisional movie... Thing's twenty years old, at least.

How's Daisy doing?

My TV is an old roommate's, and it's just awful. It's so dark I can hardly see anything, even at full brightness, and the remote went out years ago. I can control TV stations through the VCR, but the volume is a problem. My big thing about getting a new TV is that I want a black one, and everything's silver now. :P

And Daisy is just as mean as ever. She's gearing back up after staying at my mom's while I was in Miami--she hates it there and always exhiles herself to the porch since she's so mean to all the other cats and can't get along with them. You'd think she'd want to, since they all love to play and so does she, but sll she does is hiss, growl, and snort. When she returns from Mom's there's always a few blissful days of mellowness until she realizes she can bat Gatsby around again with no trouble...

How much did all that cost? Because I'm looking into buying a full-sized bed/mattress deal.

I got it for $250 because it was used and bought through a seller on craigslist. New, queen size, would be much much more, and full size probably only a little less. My friend just brought a brand new queen size bed and I believe she spent around $650 + delivery fees, taxes, etc.

I don't know what the city you live in is like with your college, but here is incredibly college-focused and if you keep an eye on the message boards, craigslist, newspapers, etc. at the end of the semesters, people are practically throwing stuff away. In fact, even driving around the college apartment dumpsters on move-out day jere has brought many a person many a treasure...
