Why do you suck such gigantic amounts of ass when it comes to dealing with a router?

we aren't giving up... we're just holding off on a solution! It takes a lot for me to give up on a computer.

Well, the good news is that she had some longer DSL cables, so I don't have to stretch one across her room/spend money on longer ones. So at least I can get Internet access for awhile until I figure something else out, since she's not as concerned.
