She had left a little bit late for their meeting, but not on purpose; she'd been delayed by a few creatures. But they were no big deal. She was used to those sorts of things now, even though they were a bit stronger than the ones in Spira.

Rikku pushed open the door to the bar and looked around, brushing her bangs out of her eyes. She was dressed casually, with jeans and a tank top with a red jacket. She spotted Mello at the bar and smiled, giving a little wave before making her way over. The blonde girl weaved her way through the crowd, pausing in front of him.

"Hey!"

Mello was nursing a whiskey, and deliberately paying no attention to a certain bartender, projecting the attitude that wait staff was so much human furniture. Rikku was about what he'd been expecting: cheery, cute if you liked that sort of thing.

He gave her a nod, and gestured to the seat beside him. "Rikku. Want anything?"

The thief happily sat down, swinging her legs a bit when she discovered that they didn't touch the ground. She wasn't short, no; the stool was just too tall. Of course. At his offer, she shook her head, grinning a bit. "I try to stay away from ymlurum if I can," she said conversationally. "Not that great on the body, y'know?"

"Mm, all right." He let the strange term pass uncommented-on; it made sense in context, and he had asked only to preserve the appearance of cordiality.

"I haven't found a shooting range yet. We can head a little outside the city if you're up for it."
