Who: Rikku (
calamitousness) and Kakashi (
shouldve_didnt).
When: Right now.
Where: A random house.
Rating: PG, subject to change.
Warnings: Rain and a bit of blood, maybe cursing.
Summary: Rikku tried to run from the rain, and utterly failed. So Kakashi has to go find her before she completely freaks out.

Rikku didn’t know what scared her more; the fiend in front of her or the fact that it was storming. Lightning sliced the sky, and she bit her lip to hold back a scream. Not that anyone would have heard it - thunder rumbled a split second later, drowning out everything, including the snarls of the creature that had her cornered. Fear was her predominant emotion, mixing with adrenaline to numb her body to the cold. She gripped her daggers, knuckles white and muscles tense. She could do this, she could do this, she could -

Another flash illuminated the heavens, and reacting on instinct, the thief ran forward, green eyes wide with fright. She shoved her way past the fiend, not feeling its claws dig into her shoulder as she ran. Darting through the Purgatorium streets, the pounding rain almost obliterated her vision. The first shelter she found was a shabby house; she didn’t know if it was occupied or not, and she didn’t care. Blindly, the blonde girl stumbled inside, eyes bleary with tears and raindrops. The enclosed space did little muffle the booming thunder, and she slumped against a wall, sliding down to the floor with her legs drawn to her chest. She had to wait for Kakashi; he’d said he was going to find her. The only warmth on her body was from the blood dripping down her arm, but she ignored it completely. She pressed her forehead to her knees, willing herself to stop crying, though her thin frame was trembling as if to shatter itself.
