Summary: To celebrate the start of the summer and to simply have a nice social event, Allelujah puts together a bonfire party at the beach. Stuff ensues.

Toshiko had wandered down to the beach in a bathing suit, and was now puttering around, looking for things to do. She noticed the torches that Allelujah was setting up and grabbed another one, sticking it into the sand.

She stood back for a moment, and concentrated, passing her hand over the top of the torch. A green flame sprung up, burning brightly. She looked a little strained for a moment, and then smiled, turning to Allelujah.

"How's that?"

"And why not? Is anything bad going to happen just because you have a good time?" Honestly. What was his deal?

"I'm just not a fan of large groups." He shrugged slightly. "I just perfer being alone."

"Mm. I'm the opposite. I don't like it when there's not many people around." She sighed, and picked up a drink for herself.

"It's much nicer when it's quiet." He responded, reaching for another drink. "Why do you dislike being alone?"

Toshiko took a drink and shrugged. "I grew up in a small village. And it was way too quiet and I hated it. So I've spent my time around people."

"Must get boring." He shrugged taking a drink from his glass. "Least it explains why your always so happy."

Oh, if only he knew. But she just smiled into her drink and shrugged. "People are interesting. And fun."

"Unlikely." He took another drink as he sighed. "They are an annoyance."

"Only if you let them get to you." She elbowed him lightly.

"Quite hard when their either loud, annoying, or spastic..." he just merely glanced at the elbowing, giving a faint nudge back.

"True. But there's always more fish in the sea. So to speak." She grinned at him.

He blinked...was she making the refrence he thought she was or...? "Obviously, the sea is larger then a river or lake."

She rolled her eyes again. "Sometimes you're so dim." She rapped her knuckles lightly against his head.

"I mean there's more people to go out and get to know. So go out and get to know them. Eventually you'll find someone to your tastes."
