Setsuna had headed up earlier before his stipulated meeting time with Marina so that he could have some time to himself. To put it simply, the week had been chaotic. Between the flood recovery operations, the preparations to move up to the Upper Level and Hallelujah Haptism's April Fool pranks, he had not had the chance to get away from people to recharge ( ... )

There he was. She had reached the stairs, temporarily lost in thought, before looking up to see Setsuna on top of the steps and smiling at him. "Setsuna. I hope I didn't make you wait for too long."

The sunlight was beginning to come through when she started to climb the staircase, moving up to where Setsuna was and nodding at him as they continued onwards together. There was a strange kind of silence between them whenever they met, but it was a comfortable silence. For someone who believed that words could solve most problems, this was a strange thing to realize. But just walking beside Setsuna like this was comforting and she appreciated that, more so when they finally reached the topside of the plate and were greeted with warm rays of sunlight.

He glanced up at her voice, and promptly shook his head to reassure her. When she reached the top of the stairs, he began to lead the way, just like the times he had done so when she was on board the Ptolemy after being rescued from the prison. He had no doubt that Marina was capable of taking care of herself, but she, too, was capable of being stubborn and reckless when it came to certain things, especially if it concerned her home country.

He stared straight ahead again, trying to recall the time period which Marina had came from, wondering if she had already known that Azadistan had fallen. After forcing her to return to Katharon, he had not had a chance to contact her, and he often found himself thinking about her. He had no news on whether she had accepted the fact and moved on, and it unsettled him somewhat.

Looking over at her briefly and catching a glimpse of her smile as she asked, he shook his head again, "No. You?"

"To be honest, I would like to look at the flower shop that I saw the first time I came here," she answered gently before looking straight ahead again, trying to remember where the store was actually located. The Upper Level was much more structured than the lower level, but it was still only her second time coming up here and she had been a little too distracted by simply being able to see the sun and sky again to really memorize everything. It couldn't be too far away, though, as she remembered not walking for very long before seeing the shop ( ... )
