Today seemed to be the day of talking. First, he had made Anew talk to him about her feelings regarding Tieria's accusations and now Allelujah was asking him for a talk. What could this be about? Tieria hadn't mentioned anything that would upset Allelujah, or so he hoped. He had grown to like the younger Meister a whole lot over the past months, the initial protectiveness he felt merely because he seemed to be close to his brother having turned into something that was important to him as well. He sometimes wondered if he was opening up too quickly to someone so close to his brother--it meant comparison, no matter how much he tried to avoid it. People who knew Neil would always try to look for similiarities in Lyle, that was a fact ( ... )

"It's..." He walked in, not quite making eye contact. It wasn't so much because he wasn't confident in his own disguise, but it was something Allelujah would be doing in this situation, anyway. "It's complicated. Nothing outside happened, persé, but..."

For a bit, he stood there, wringing his hands nervously, acting as if he couldn't manage to get any more words out at the moment. "It's...I."

That was definitely worrying. "What?" he tried to ask, frowning a little and hoping that nothing really bad had happened--after all, if Allelujah wanted to talk to him about it, he must have been somehow involved. And that wasn't a good sign, at all.

Seeing that the other man wasn't really responding to his question, he decided to take his arm and lead him to sit down on the bed, shifting when he did the same beside him. "Just say whatever's on your mind. It's obviously something you need to tell me so I'll listen without judging." Did that sound reassuring at all? He wasn't completely sure, but that's what he was going for, attempting to slip into the 'big brother role' that Neil always took on. Really, why wasn't Allelujah talking to him if he had a problem?

He closed his eyes for a few moments, having to use all his self control from keeping from dissolving into giggles already. No, he hadn't even started, he couldn't kill the joke already.

"First, I..." A deep breath, and he continued. "I just wanted to thank you for all you've done for me so far. For helping me in that place, for helping me day to day, for being there when I need someone. For being one of the people I can trust most. It's strange that we've only known each other for a few months, but I feel closer to you than I do to almost anyone else."

He put on a small, nervous smile as he glanced at Lyle. "You're a great person, Lyle. You're different from your brother, and I see you differently... So I just want to stress that before I say anything else. This isn't because of comparisons or because you resemble him."
