The priest was gone, Beyond was almost saddened in a way that made laughter bubble up his throat and spill over the pews and high arched ceiling. Changes, changes, the angry goddess wanted to ruin him but she could not, not without ruining others and the redemption. Anne was in stitches and his plan would need to wait but he couldn't, he needed to go. Every day it became harder not to wring Joshua's dear neck and he couldn't, no, not yet.

The doors opened and a figure was stalking in, B could stop and play or leave, he was in no mood for their screams on the terminal after, it was getting old. All talk and no action, how dull. But no, this time it was something worth seeing, his friend, dear friend, slumping on the pews. B's smile curled, crawling over the seats, carefully, quietly, until he loomed over the other man, so peaceful and stricken. He crushed his laughter.

"Come to confess your sins son?" He hissed into the silence, playful head tilt and wide eyes.

Sylar startled awake, at first all angry and teeth bared and ready to attack, like a wild animal. Then he realized it was just B, his friend, and he calmed immediately.

"Yes." He sat up, and stared at B with the same drained, tired expression that had never really left him after the end of the night before. "Forgive me father, for I have sinned." He flashed back the hidden room in his apartment, the same words etched over and over and over again and what for, repentance? But he didn't elaborate any further, and decided to segue the conversation into a different direction.

"I'm glad you haven't left yet, Beyond."

"You might be going to hell." B answered, shoulders shaking with repressed mirth; it was so damned funny sometimes. He never knew how to laugh before his heart had stopped beating.

"The journey is half the destination." He continued, red eyes sweeping the pews, monsters lurked in all the shadows they weren't allowed to dwell in. Just look, they were here, two of a kind. Proof, one could say. "You're depressed friend." It dripdripdripped concern, like a perfect actor with a carved face. "You should learn to enjoy the finer things." he scolded with a growing grin.

"Won't be going anywhere." Sylar shrugged. "To go to hell, you have to be able to die. Or," he corrected himself after a brief pause, "That was what I thought. Before I ended up here."

He smiled back at B, as much of a smile as he could muster, which was pathetic and not much of one at all. "I got what I wanted, but it didn't work the way I wanted it to." He figured his friend, his confidante didn't need much more information to piece together what had happened.

Gears turned, pieces came together. Detective work, haha. "You have it?" He asked barely above a whisper, teeth showing in his wide smile. Claire losing her head. Or mind, either way, everything was so funny today.

"Are you immortal yet?" B asked, leaning closer with a knife cut grin. "Want to test it?"
