It was an absurd situation from all angles, but it had had the desired effect. Luke’s fury had disarmed his obsessive affections for long enough for the situation to be explained and controlled; as much as Jade found it almost slightly amusing to have a seventeen year old boy fawning over him with multicoloured hearts and sparkles, the concept of having that boy clinging coquettishly from an arm seemed slightly more… what was the word ( ... )

Dist nearly jumped when he heard the door shut, no less intimidated by the clack of the man's footsteps, heart leaping into his throat. "J-Jade!" Dist's nervousness increased tenfold, hearing his heartbeat in his ears. In his anxious reflex, he had clutched his tie, loosening it somewhat unintentionally. He released it, bringing himself to a shaky stand, nervously rubbing one of his biceps as he glanced off to the side.

He almost hadn't expected Jade to come, especially so soon. He hadn't really thought of a way that would make things any more explicitly clear than he'd aleady tried. "So you came afterall..."

Dist was obviously procrastinating a little, gnawing his lowerlip as he thought on what to do.

Really, the point was to give Dist very little reaction time. If left to brood, the man would doubtlessly come up with wild plans that he might even be capable of carrying out somewhat before Jade could prevent the theatrics.

So, with the usual merciless stance to Dist’s poor, abused nerves, Jade canted his head to the side, one hand finding his hip. “Of course, Saphir.” Special attention paid, yet again, to that name in particular. And, with unpitying timing still in tact, “Now then… you were going to provide me with proof of your… affections, mmm?” He dragged out the last syllable, perfectly at ease with pinning his gaze onto Dist over the rim of his glasses.

Already anxious, Jade couldn’t imagine that the man would become less so. Really, it was a losing battle for Saphir on that front.

Dist rubbed the back of his neck, feeling easily stifled by Jade's overwhelming presence. In person, he was a bit more difficult to talk to. Dist's cheeks burned right to his ears with a red hue, and he rubbed the back of his neck nervously, craned downwards as it usually was. He didn't mean to come across as so coy, but, well. Here he was.

The drawl of Jade's words made Dist all the more uncomfortable, for whatever reason. He gave a short, irate sigh. "Yes." Of course, Dist hadn't actually come around to deciding just how he was going to manage this.
