When: June 18, late evening. As in, the middle of the night.
Where: Lower level, their new home.
Rating: PG, probably.
Warnings: Leon has the emotional range of a rock rabbi.
Summary: Aerith moves in with Leon. And there is tension (of the good kind).

Aerith hadn't meant to take so long in arriving home. She didn't have anything to pack and bring over with her, but saying goodbye to Vincent had taken a bit longer than she had expected, due to the fact that she had to find him and give him a hug. But as soon as thank yous and good byes had been handled, the flower girl was on her way to her new home.

It felt strange to know that she was going to have a place to call home. Before, when she had been living with Vincent, she had called it Vincent's House. Now she actually had a home. And she was going to be sharing it with Leon. That fact was more than enough to put a bounce in her step as she hurried to the house ( ... )

Rent. That was correct: he had been intending on collecting rent from whomever claimed the empty room; after all, money was important in Purgatorium, and even if Leon had two jobs, he could always use some extra cash. However, with Aerith ( ... )

She frowned at the mention of not paying him any money for her room, but didn't push the issue. She knew well enough to not hurt a man's pride by questioning his decisions, or attempting to force him into something he had decided against. So she was glad when he asked her if she was happy, although she tipped her head to the side as if she didn't quite understand the question ( ... )

There was something to be said for happiness: to Leon, it felt as elusive as an eel, though it came in short spurts after his world had been taken. He can remember specific things, dimly: Aerith’s smoothies back home, training with Yuffie in the sewers, knowing Sora was the keyblade master, knowing Kairi was safe, knowing Shiki was safe, the letter in his pocket, the dim memory of an angel with wings, restoring Radiant Garden ( ... )
