Makubex sat in his room, absently petting Momo, Kohaku resting on the other side with its head in his lap. The teen made a sound of acknowledgment, but didn't move from his spot.

"It's... not your fault." It wasn't as if he'd been the one to bring her here, and she was a friend. If anything, Makubex felt is was his own fault.

Watanuki reached over and pulled Makubex over to him. "Then let's just let it go, hmm? I'm here, you're here, and everything's fine."

Makubex nodded, leaning against him. He didn't think it was that simple, but for now, he enjoyed the comfort. "...you're right. As always."

"And I know I've been out a lot, since I've been working on rebuilding the cafe, so I'm going into work late tomorrow. We can have a nice, relaxed evening together without having to worry about going to bed early so I can get up early."
