Unlike Claire, Andrew wasn't nearly as dressed up. He did have a nice suit on, which he had worn more to make others happy than anything else, but it was really difficult to dressed up a suit any more than that. Plus, it was kind of uncomfortable, so he didn't want to over-do it and go crazy.

He looked over to Claire. For a few seconds he just took in how lovely she looked, but he soon realized that he was staring and looked away. Unlike the previous event, where he had ducked out after about fifteen minutes, Andrew planned to stay the whole time. Large crowds did make him uncomfortable, but he was willing to put up with it for this special girl. She had been having a rough time, and he wanted to do everything he could to make her evening perfect. He looked to her again as he smiled and said, "this place looks nice, doesn't it?"

Claire turned to face Andrew at the sound of his voice, and gave him a bright smile. "It's wonderful here. Everyone looks so nice. It just goes to show that even in the crappiest of places, people can clean up very nicely." She laughed, and held her hand out for Andrew to take.

"I'm glad that you don't mind being here. This probably isn't much of your thing, and I probably have entirely too many dances promised to people, but this night will be fun for us."

Andrew took a hold of Claire's hand, and he held onto it gently. Even though this wasn't his thing at all, he was still going to do his best to have fun. And even though Claire had planned dances with many people, Andrew intended to have her all to himself for the important ones. "Let's start it off right, then. Shall we?"

"Yeah." Claire smiled, nodding eagerly. She was excited about the fact that he was sticking around the entire time, and laced their fingers together as she allowed him to lead her. In their relationship, she was normally the one that took charge and Andrew was drug along in her wake. It was nice for her to be able to hand over the role to him, even if it was just for a dance.

Repliku skulked in a few moments after her, looking around the scene with a distrust borne from being out of his element. He understood that civility was to be maintained at all times, a courtliness that he had only heard of in fairy tales. He had not bothered to change this time, feeling that his armor did well enough amongst the crowd. It was... dignified, he thought. Hoped.

Seeing Claire, he stopped short and smiled, approaching her slowly. "Hey Claire, you look great."

She didn't place his voice at first, and had to turn to fully face him before recognition dawned upon her. "Hey! I'm surprised to see you here. Very pleasantly surprised." She grinned, holding up her hand and waggling her fingers. "You look really good, too. The armor is very unique and knightly."

She looked this way and that, to each side of him, before perking a single eyebrow. "Did you bring a date tonight?"

Repliku laughed softly and shook his head. "I didn't bring anyone. Roxas decided to go, so... I didn't want to just sit in the house by myself."
This was true enough, but even so, it took a lot of effort to push himself out of the house, knowing that he should have brought a date. The sting of Prescea's departure still clung to his heart, making the thought of a romantic evening hurt.
Talking to Claire however made that pain seem a little further away, a little less sharp. "Where's your date?" He asked lightly. Honestly, he would have been surprised if she came by herself, as popular as she seemed.
And the dress helped quite a bit as well, color and cut complimenting her form.

"Dates aren't important." Claire gently reminded him, with a light poke to his nose. She was in a playful mood, so Repliku was just going to have to put up with it for the time being. Because she wasn't just going to let him say hi and escape, oh no. As she was asked about Andrew's location, Claire gave a light shrug of her shoulders and glanced over her shoulder to see if he was lingering nearby.

"He's around. Andrew, I mean. I just wanted to get a chance to mingle some, so we split up and went our separate ways for a little while." She explained, giving another casual little shrug. She looked up at him, a smile tugging at only one corner of her mouth. "Do you want to dance with me?"

Super long post is super long. orz keki_keki April 20 2008, 01:17:04 UTC
And come and bother her someone did.

Honey had split from Pudding in search of friends, and would return... eventually. Whenever Usachan and he had greeted everyone.

Schlepping the rabbit about the place, the pair of them were on constant look out for the beautiful princesses they called their friends. And, there. On the wall. Was one of them. (Of course, Princesses had Types, just like Hosts, in Honey's mind... While admiring how pretty Claire did look, he half-wondered if this was ☆Skimpii Kei☆ Princess. Not that it mattered much.)

The blonde was astonished, rushing over beneath the folds and frills in the fabric, as quickly as he could without falling! with as much grace as he could manage.

"Claaaaairuuuu~chaaaaaaaaaaaan~!! ♪♥" Honey sang out excitedly, running up to gape at Claire. Usachan gaped, in turn, from beneath the red bow on his ear, and seemed, maybe, to smile with those rabbit-y painted lips.

Painted lips? To match Honey's, of course. He hoped people would still recognise him in his ball ensemble. There wasn't ( ... )

"Honey?!" Claire couldn't mistake the boy's voice, or misplace his energy as belonging to anyone else. It was so obviously him, right down to the lip painted rabbit, and even through the wig. "You...you look..."

She wasn't exactly sure of the right adjective to use, so instead she laughed, and grabbed the ends of her dress to do a playful curtsy. "You look beautiful too. Absolutely wonderful, in fact. And very adorable. Usachan is too." She grinned, and reached over to very gently pat at the rabbit's head.

"Do you have a date for tonight, or do I have the honor of getting you all to myself for a little while?"

Honey beamed at her, before offering a girlish smile and a deep curtsy in return.

"Nee, nee, Clairuchan can spend time with me however long she wants, of course~! ♥ Purinchan is visiting her friends now, too, so we don't need to spend the whole night together~~~ Does Clairuchan have a date, too, huh~?"

She nodded, hiding her very amused smile with the back of her hand. When she thought that it was safe to speak, without grinning like an idiot, she dropped her hand. "I came with Andrew. Do you know him? You should go get him to dance with you too!"

Badou was doing well for himself in the ball, having been forced into something more or less presentable by certain parties. Whose name happened to start with a 'C' and end with an 'e'. And thus he had spent time wandering around the ball. But there was still things to be done, dances to be danced for example.

Wary as he was, considering Claire's strange behavior in the past few days, he did promise Claire a dance, and so with all the cautiousness he could manage, he looked for, found, and tapped the teenage girl on the shoulder.

"I think I owed you a dance, right?" He grinned awkwardly, scratching the back of his head and hoping he didn't sound as stupid as he looked.

Spinning around, she knew exactly who was going to be standing there. She hadn't been living with Badou for very long, but she already knew the sound of his voice by heart. Arms crossed over her chest, she perked an eyebrow and offered him a playful smile. She was going to behave herself, since they were out in public. "You did promise me one." She responded in a sing-song tone, holding out her hand for him to take.

Wiggling her fingers, the other eyebrow raised to join with the other. She was just smiling up at him, wondering if her recent teasing of him would have any effect on whether or not he touched her.

Yohji knew a woman who wanted to dance when he saw one. All right, Claire wasn't quite a woman yet, but her energy was so much like his when he was excited, if he'd been capable of befriending a woman without sleeping with her, he would have tried.

Right now it was simple. They were both without a dance partner, and she was ready to go. Sauntering over to her, Yohji took Claire by the hand and led her out onto the dance floor with a smile, beginning to shake his hips as they went. There was no harm in dancing, after all; they didn't even have to get inappropriately close to one another doing it.
