By some miracle, Kenpachi had managed to find the Ball- though it had its share of attendees and commotion he still had his poor sense of direction no matter what world he was in. From the small pay he had earned from dispatching creatures he had managed to clean up and get a fresh set of robes to replace his tattered Shinigami attire. He was still not used to the fresh seams of the dress shirt and pants, thus as he entered to Ball he fussed with his collar and tie."Goddamn," he cursed and loosened his tie. Obviously this place didn't compliment 6'7" beings ( ... )

Drawn to the ball more out of the fact that she could find Kenchan there than anything else, Yachiru adjusted her outfit and tried not to fidget. She was not a fan of dresses, but tonight was supposed to be special. She wanted to show Kenchan she was surviving thanks to everything he taught her, so she was making an effort to look extra-fierce.

Making her way inside, she could feel Kenchan's presence and instantly headed over. Noticing Wesker there as well she waved cheerfully, plopping herself down on a chair next to Kenchan. "Hiya! Let's hope this ain' borin' but if it is I brought some paper an' crayons!" She reached into her pockets and pulled out crumpled paper and drawing stuff. She came prepared.

A familiar face and shock of pink hair took the seat next to him. Suddenly he felt great relief knowing he hadn't wasted his time at this place at all and he smirked a little. "Glad you still know how t' keep yourself amused, Yachiru." Kenpachi was sure she knew he had missed her company- there was little need to bring up the obvious.

His grin faltered as he looked her over, "...You look...different. Kinda like a girl," he nodded towards the dress. He had raised the girl, taught her techniques and speech, but certainly not as one who wore dresses. Maybe it was something she picked up here or at the Women's Shinigami Association meetings. "But you seem to be doing well for yourself anyway."

Wesker glanced over at the man as he spoke, taking in the details of the stranger. He was noticing more and more of them everyday, those familiar to the Tyrant becoming fewer and further between. Ah well. It was only a matter of time before he learned their names and faces.

And then there was Yachiru's voice. That one was unmistakable, especially since he had spent time in that body. That was something he never wanted to repeat.

"Good evening, Captain Yachiru and to your friend. Having a good evening?"

Sadly, Yachiru was one of the people that Wesker could stand. Weird that he could the one that others couldn't.

Elena picked at her dress. Sure, it was lovely and beautiful with that vintage sort of coppery gold, but dresses...well, they weren't exactly her thing. She had been perfectly happy with the pantsuit she had originally chosen, but between cheerleaders and now Rufus, that was a long-gone pipe dream. Her hair was pulled up to the back of her head, snagged up there with a clip aside from the part of her side sweep that refused to be tamed, and that was one thing she didn't mind ( ... )

Wesker's gaze moved up and down Elena, a trace of a smirk coming to his lips as he did.

"My, my, Elena. Don't you look... expensive? I didn't know Turks were for something other than guarding."

A flick of his eyes to her clevage before he met her eyes again.

"As for Hojo, he would have most likely gone with Grantz. They were far better friends than he was with me. A bit too much competition one might say, although, now that he is gone, all his research rests in my hands."

That faint smirk became a knife-edged smile at that, letting her turn that over in her mind.

"Just what is that supposed to mean?"

Her eyes narrowed a little, watching where he watched. She folded her arms over her chest in a way that she hoped made her covered while looking pissed off rather than the self-consciousness that she really felt in this, and tossed her head to the side. Asshole. Always.

"And knowing you, there are already plans for that research in your hands, isn't there?"

Now she remembered why she hit him at the last ball, just like she regretted not being able to do so at this one. Being on one's best behaivor always had its drawbacks.

It wasn't hard at all to spot Wesker. Even at a distance he recognized his frame and the way he held himself-- to an extent. Before he'd been confident, dangerous and powerful-- what with the strength of a Tyrant. None of it was diminished here, really... simply curtailed. How? He wasn't asking.

Needless to say the man looked to not be enjoying himself here, and if that were the case he wouldn't pester him further. Well, not initially, at least. Perhaps they could stir up some commotion, though he doubted Wesker would think much of it.

Kairi attached at his arm, he offered Wesker the briefest of grins and a nod with a half-salute. Then proceeded to move onto other things.

Straightening himself, Wesker was relatively sure that he had gotten used to the vertigo of having his vision changed so drastically. After the last ball, he had sworn to himself that he would not be doing this ever again. And yet, here he was. There were too many people he didn't often get to observe and take note of who they were connected with to avoid coming tonight. What better way to scout out what was someone's weakness than going to a fancy occasion with alcohol?

Wesker's eyes settled briefly on Leon's, that question on what colour his eyes had been before the coming of the T-virus answered. A twist of a sardonic smile came to his lips until his attention moved to Kairi. Giving the other gunman a nod, Wesker turned away to watch the rest of the room.
