Roxas was less than thrilled about this turn of events, mostly because he'd discovered how very very difficult it was to say no to chibi Kairi, and he had the sinking feeling that it was only a matter of time before she figured that out.

Like now, for instance. The clock tower was not where they should have been going. They should have been going over to Olette's house, which had a door and a lock and was defensible, and not tempting any monsters with bite size Princess targets. Also, so much for Shu's strategy. And so much for Roxas taking responsibility for anyone besides one girl, like he'd said he would.

She looked so happy, though.

"Not yet." He peered suspiciously down the mouth of an alley before proceeding. "But we're almost there. Just down this street..."

And there it was, in all its disguised mutant space alien clock tower glory. He glanced down at her, trying not to sound harsh.

"If they're not here, we can wait a little while, but then we should probably go inside, alright?"
