She'd half-expected not to find him; expected him to hide himself from her, but the time to think was past. He'd turned funny, whether from something natural to him or the meddling of others, and Sellz had to stop him. Had. No choices here, no time to hesitate. If he was going to destroy all of the results of the effort he'd made to change, become someone better, then she would stop him. Any means necessary. Her sword in hand, she had to steel herself again. She would kill him to save him, if need be. But once he was gone, she'd make good on her promise-- she would follow him, if only in hopes of forgetting the act itself. If he forgot her in her effort to stop him and save him, she would suffer that chance.
She had chosen not to tell anyone. Shu would only worry, and blame Cosmas. Saya would try to stop her. No, this was something Sellz had to do with a clear mind. He deserved that much, even if his wasn't.
"Cos," she began, tone blank of any intonation.

He didn't move or speak for some time. Slowly, his mind and whatever rationality he held within him was beginning to return. It only served to make things worse for himself---blank insanity was preferable to the thinking that had caused it to begin with.
"...do whatever you have to do," Cosmas finally said in a rough voice. He wanted no more of this.

She spoke again, this time her voice hesitant and thin. "Cos, what happened?" She needed to know.
