Euphemia had been lucky enough to grab a few things along with Allelujah's meal: a foot-long sub sandwich tucked neatly under one of her toothpick arms with the works, and what appeared to be a large bottle of some sort of fruit juice (it was actually the kind she found she liked, a lot, though Allelujah would probably find it much too sweet for his tastes; most people did ( ... )

Allelujah was just beginning to drift off, sitting against a wall near the fireplace, when the knock on the door brought him back to his senses. That would have been either Euphie or Val, then. He got up and stretched his arms out, yawning before making his way to the door.

He hadn't meant to doze, but the lack of food and the temperature had sapped more energy from him than he would have liked. 'Definitely trying out for SOLDIER once I get my strength back,' he thought. Maybe tomorrow.

Opening the door, he gave a slight smile to the pink haired woman there. "Euphie, right? Come in...it's still a little chilly, but I managed to get a fire going, so it's not as bad as outside," he said, stepping to the side to let her in.

Euphemia blinked, standing in the doorway for a moment before she fully realized she had been invited in. Giving Allelujah a grateful smile, she stepped inside, giving a little shiver so that the snow that had drifted to hair fell into little, melting flakes to the floor ( ... )

Euphemia was nearly in the door (was in it, really, on her way in, already speaking to Allelujah and inspecting his new house) when she heard herself being dressed. It was certainly strange to hear herself being called miss, to know people didn't know her face right off the bat. She'd adjusted to it somewhat in the month she had spent in Purgatorium, but a lifetime of fame was hard to shake off, no matter the circumstances. It might've explained Euphemia's delayed reaction: she was the miss? Feeling a bit apologetic for being rude, Euphemia turned to face Val herself, her sentiment clearly expressed on her facial expression.

"Allelujah?" Euphemia said, and then, stepping inside to show that, indeed, this was his house because he was standing right there near her. "Um... he's right here."

She gave a sheepish smile, not quite sure what to do when meeting two people she didn't know and instead letting (what she assumed) the two friends to exchange greetings without her standing in between them. She didn't want to be rude.

[[ooc: There we go, time paradox fixed! I'm unfortunately gonna have to go after this, but I'll be back tomorrow afternoon.]]

"Ah, and...Val, correct? Come in, too. I'm afraid it's not much of a house, but it's at least somewhere to hole up until I find a better place."

He looked at the two women and what they held, still feeling sheepish and embarrassed for having to accept things for free like a child, despite the necessity.

Looking between the two, Euphemia gave an apologetic smile to both of them. If she had a watch, she'd probably be glancing at it in worry; she didn't want to be late to work, because if she got fired, where would she go? Nonetheless, she felt obligated to at least be polite and make sure Allelujah got his sandwich. She felt a wave of relief when he accepted the parcel and bottle, and Euphemia stepped to the side, nodding at the woman who had spoken to her in the street.

"I'd like to stay," she said sincerely, "but I have to go to work. I hope you'll excuse me...?"

After making sure she was, indeed, excused, Euphemia stepped back into the street and started making her way back to her work place.
