Euphemia managed to find Zelos in the crowd of people; she had been here for a while herself already, having promised Luke her first few dances in order to educate her friend on the practice (it seems not everyone, not even some nobles, were aware of the correct protocol when it came for dancing). Having taken a few spins with friends, she was happy to see her 'date' here, and she made sure to go over and say hi, to spend an adequate amount of time with him. She, after all, would not like to see him feel shirked because she hadn't been a good date

Seeing his date approach him, Zelos gave a sincere smile and waved to her. "Ahh! There you are!" He was glad that she really stuck with the idea of being his date. With the way all the other girls in Purgatorium treated him, he thought he was never going to get a date. Apparently he was mistaken. Looks like those goregous good looks of his still did their tricks.

"Indeed...." he said in reply, looking at the decorations. Glancing down to her, he smirked. "Awww....why thank you, Euphie! I have to say, you look wonderful yourself!" He said, taking a better glance at how the girl was dressed.

Shaking his head, he gave her a smile. "Ahaha....no no. I just got here, actually. So I should be the one apologizing," he said in reply, giving a small sheepish smile.

+10 points for you! Zelos will be the best date EVER.

Well, it had actually been a mixture of pity and friendliness that had made Euphemia accept, but whatever made Zelos feel better. After all, she had no idea of the inner-workings of his mind; she was more apt to interpret any action of his as something more innocent than it might actually be.

"Thank you, Zelos!" She smiled widely, crossing her arms across her chest as she was wont to do when nervous. "But it is okay if you were late; I had to go dance with my friend Luke first anyways. I promised to teach him to dance."

"Teaching your friend how to dance, hm?" He chuckled lightly and smiled again. "Ahhh....well then...! I guess there's no point in me apologizing!" He blinked a bit as he replayed the words in his head. "....wait. I didn't mean it like that...." He shook his head, and continued on. "Anyways....! What shall we do first? Continue talking to get to know each other better? Or do you want to get that dance in, hm?"

Anxious Sheena walked around, looking for one particular person. He hadn't shown up at hers and Usagi's place, so she had a feeling he went straight to the ball. Unaware he was normal for the day, she went out to search for him, hoping that when she found him, he was okay. Boy was she gonna kill him later for making her worry, but then again, this was the gods's faults.

After a moment of searching, she spotted the red head, dressed differently. Sheena wondered how he got those clothes when he didn't even have shelter and a job...unless he had gotten one so fast already. Maybe he borrowed the tux.

"Zelos!" She called out. She ran over to him, ready to do something she never thought she would do in her life.

He found that tux, actually. Randomly. Don't ask. He just did. XD;

Hearing his name, he turned and saw Sheena. Ohhhh boy...this was going to get interesting. A sheepish smile was on his face as he gave a small wave the summoner. "Sheena!!! Hey!" He was ready to dodge any sort of attack or slap Sheena was to dish out to him, and slightly ready to explain himself for....not showing up at that...party thing.

Yes. He knew about his behavior. And he knew his words. Despite it being effective for only a small amount of time, he remembered it all, and quite frankly, he wondered if that's how he would have ended up if he hadn't grown up the way he did. Casting that thought aside, he flashed a charming smile to Sheena.

She stopped right in front of him, giving him a weird look. It was at that moment she realized he was back to normal.

For a moment she just stood there, trying to figure out why he didn't show up, and came here instead. Sheena figured since he was back to normal, at least he was alright on his own. After all, the party was to keep the changed ones safe. He probably figured that out on his own.

Finally, she spoke "Well, I see you're back to normal! I guess you're having fun here huh?"

Zelos rose an eyebrow at her as she just stared at him. Well....this wasn't awkward... He then smiled to her when she asked if he was having his fun. "Oh yes....!" He chuckled and glanced to her. "How about you? You having fun?"

Nel was a little confused - no, more than a little confused: Ichigo was acting strange, she had somehow returned to her previous form, and all she wanted was to become a Shinigami. Zack had been kind enough to allow her a place to stay for the moment, but even that felt odd to her. That, and she was much used to being closer to the ground. Long legs took some getting used to again.

A now very adult Nel slipped in, wearing a large purple sweater, and not much else. She did not really have any clothes that fit this body, but she went anyway, remembering her determination before to go to the ball, with Ichigo or not. Though now she was quite glad she was not with him, she still felt a little lonely. Scanning the crowds, the green-haired woman looked for a familiar face.

And the first person she saw was Zelos. Greenish eyes widened, and like the child she usually was, Nel ran up and jumped on the man from behind.

"Zelos Person!!"

Zelos almost fell forward when he felt the force from behind. Ready to yell at whoever it was, he noticed the familiar use of words and blinked. "...wait.....why....does that sound familiar?" Turning as best as he could, he saw Nel and immediately gaped. 'Hello, sweet thing...!' was the first thing that ran through his mind.

Nel was smiling like an idiot, having lost her characteristic lisp, but only for the moment. Her mask still sat atop her head, hair how longer, but she still was very Nel.

"I was so worried I wouldn't find anyone here," she explained more calmly, letting him go as she smoothed out her sweater, pulling it down a bit more. "Everyone's been acting so weird lately, I was afraid that no one was going to come..."

Staring at Nel's....new face, Zelos tilted his head slightly, trying to figure out why she looked really familiar. Zelos person....her eyes, the mask....hmm.... "...oh! Nel! Wow! You.....look different!" He was glad to have been able to figure out who it was. But to see her like this? My my....wasn't Zelos the lucky one...?
