Konan had closed off her conversation with Deidara on the computer and spent some time exploring as she headed outwards, seeking the river. The town was deserted...or at least had the look of it. She could see a few people here or there but didn't approach them, simply continuing onwards until she could hear the sound of rushing water.

Ah...he must be there...somewhere.

She broke through the brush and began to follow the bank, heeled feet managing to move as silently as any other shinobi, head slightly bowed but alert all the same as she searched for Deidara. Konan wasn't certain about much in this place yet, as it was Deidara's offer was one that she was pleased for. She would have to bide her time and learn more as the information came along, she supposed.

Ah...ahead she could see someone, and on closer inspection it was Deidara sprawled in the water.

She came to a stop a respectful distance away, hands hidden by the long sleeves of her Akatsuki cloak, waiting, eyes averted for his own modesty...which she doubted he possessed.

Her persuit did not go unnoticed; Deidara would recognize the members of the Akatsuki in approach for a long while... even if he considered the organization disbanded here in Purgatorium. Blue eyes flickered open, and as he sat forwards, his mass of long blond hair fell over one side of his face, the rest about his shoulders and down his back.

"Konan?" he called out, though he didn't really think it necessary. She was there... and as he turned around, he couldn't help but allow a smirk to streak across his features and dominate his face. She looked the same, but that her eyes were averted amused him to no end. She was always so polite! Looking away from him... as if he cared at all what she saw or did not see. His was just a body like any others'... only with more mouths than most would ordinarily like.

"You didn't even alert me, un..." he told her, turning about fully to rest against the bank. "...Hoping to catch a peek when I think you're not looking?"

She turned back to study him for a moment, the barest hint of a smile flitting over her lips before fading away to that serene expression as she moved closer, still allowing him room. Of course she cared. In her own way, she did not wish to disturb, or perhaps simply didn't wish to come in at the wrong moment. That seemed a more appropriate answer.

"I had only just approached, Deidara-san." she remarked with an uplift to one blue eyebrow.

"My apologies for not alerting you. But old habits die hard." if they die at all she added silently to herself as she let her eyes catch his.

"Would you wish for me to wait a distance away while you complete your bath, then?" another faint smile, however short-lived.

Studying her, Deidara contemplated hopping right out of the river as was and letting her have an eyefull... but this was Konan, not just some random idiot woman who would blush and squawk and make a fool of herself otherwise. Konan was a woman who deserved respect, and commanded it without the need of getting violent or raising her voice... She wasn't somebody even Deidara thought of annoying too often.

But that didn't mean he didn't do it at all.

"I don't care where you stand," he told her, "just so long as it's not on my cloak, un." Which was Tobi's cloak in all due honesty.

However, that being said, he was already wrenching himself up and out of the water with only a wave of his hand as warning. She could turn around or get flashed - it couldn't be said he hadn't given the signal.

Konan turned her head away, fighting away showing any small sign of amusement at the blonde's antics. Deidara was still the same...more it convinced her that this was real...not some sort of illusion. The impish look in his eye had been more warning than the waving hand and she waited patiently, studying the forest that crowded around the river.

Dark trees that were like none she could recall seeing. Black, with gnarled arms that seemed ready to begin writhing at any moment. Even the fading greenery atop them, the canopy of the forest seemed faded, too sickly...

"This is truly a strange place." she said, shortly, waiting for the telltale rustling of that cloak to alert her to his clothed status.

Barely listening, Deidara busied himself with collecting the Akatsuki cloak, his shirt and pants. They weren't tugged on in that order, of course, but Konan was a good judge of his behavior and skill and would be able to appropriately time - rustling or not - how long it would take him to get dressed. Once his sandles were slipped on, he rose, dusting himself off and he gave his head a shake, flinging water every which way.

The only apology he offered the lady was a shitfaced smirk before he was knotting his hair back up atop his head and giving a long look around.

"You get used to the scenery, un..." he told her, shrugging his shoulders. "At least I have. It's not pretty, but it sure as hell isn't boring either, right?"

"I can only imagine..." she said, turning around at last, barely dodging the spray of water from those blonde tresses being thrown about so haphazardly. She didn't complain or otherwise yelp, simply giving him that amused glance that was more in her eyes than anything before moving closer.

"Sinners, all of us here...are there so many?" came the soft query, blue eyes meeting blue eyes as she studied Deidara far more closely. It was amazing how...unchanged he looked from the last time she had seen him. Would Tobi be the same then?

"Sasori has gotten more free with how he speaks..." she acknowledged quietly as a way of asking if anyone else had changed.

"Sasori, un?" Deidara shrugged. He didn't speak much to the other - had never really - at least as far as he was concerned. "I guess he's changed, but I wouldn't know. You'd have to talk to Orochimaru..."

Wiping his hands on his cloak to rid them of the wetness, ignoring the flapping tongues and how they clung to the fabric, he watched her watch him for a moment before tossing his eyes into a death roll. "Still so caught up in good and bad, un? Whatever... Itachi's still a jackass, un. And Tobi..." He paused. Made a screwed up face and shook his head. "Tobi's still Tobi! He doesn't ever change, he's still a useless idiot, un!"

Which was only true in his eyes because Tobi had nearly gotten himself killed recently, but he wasn't about to tell Konan that, or that it was HIS fault.

"As for how many people are here... there's a fuck ton, un. A lot of people to keep an eye out for, come to think of it, but you should be able to pick the black sheep out of the flock."

"I will have words with Itachi-san in due time, I imagine..." she said with an air of determination before growing quiet once more, listening to the blondes testimonials, storing them away. Though, his disregard of Sasori was something she caught quickly. They had been partners...she wondered why he seemed so uncaring now.

Perhaps his bond with Tobi was stronger than the one he had shared with his previous partner. She wouldn't know for the moment and therefor pushed it out of her immediate thoughts.

"I saw some as I was exploring, looking for the river." she murmured, fingers rising to gently tap against her chin.

"If you do not think me hasty, perhaps we could move towards your residence now?"
