Yesterday's church service was to commemorate All Souls' Day, the day following All Saints' Day which follows All Hallows Eve.  Our new pastor was talking about the history of the service, how the early church leaders chose to put the feast day at this particular place in the year. That's so beautiful! Perhaps the veil really is thinned during this time of year. Makes sense, really, at least that this season and all the kind of change it brings would inspire remembrance. Also, the Sarah McLaughlin version of that song always gives me amazing chills and a feeling of peace.

Thanks for the song link. It's amazing how certain words or phrases or musical passages will stick with us and remind us of really good or really sad times in our lives.
