Holiday traditions

We are still figuring out what we want to be pre-holiday and Christmas traditions for our family. So far, I think we have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day figured out, as we spend the entire time with family. But what to do in the weeks preceding the big bash? What traditions would I like Ben and Leo to associate with the season of Christmas?

I love all of your traditions. They sound so family-oriented and enriching. We give to goodwill and other charities regularly, and what I told monkey is that there are some people who do not have the good fortune to have clothes, housing, food, and toys. It's important to share because sharing is caring. That seems to have been enough for monkey to understand what's what.

I've tried to make this season very family-oriented, especially as the last few years we were so far away from family.
We try to regularly go through our closets and donate what's not being used. I'm a decluttering fool anyway :)
