I should read more at www.themidwifenextdoor.com. I also love reading babyslime, especially when she was posting photography tutorials :)

I think the community aspect of LJ has really helped people to find others with similar interests (i.e. our close due dates and planning homebirths). I'm not sure that other forums can say that.

I have 6 or 7 blogs that I flip through on a weekly basis. I don't think I could ever have a 'favorite'.

OK! I admit it! I'm a lurker!

1. I'm Laura, but online (and now IRL), I go by LCA, which are my initials and what my mom called me. I found you in the DITL community where I was an active poster in 2006, but now I just comment. I love your LJ because you're my age and down-to-earth and I love your work/family balance.

2. I'm truly de-lurking.

3. I chose LJ back in 2004 because that's what I was most familiar with. I think at that point, only LJ and Diaryland were on my RADAR, and I knew people who used LJ. I switched to WordPress in 2009 (http://lcamazing.wordpress.com) because I wanted a fresh start and my LJ was a lot of snippets and I wanted to write. I think I chose WP because I liked the name, honestly ( ... )

I guess I can understand it...kinda. I talk about him a lot.

The thing is, he's such an ingrained part of my life now that it would be like telling you to tell about your days and how things are going without mentioning Jake or Ben.

I think at some point people have to realize it and some of the crap I got made it seem like people find it wrong that I'm in a happy relationship. It's been how long since I've been like this? I can't remember...
