You were one of the folks I knew would have something to say about this.

Sad..not so much that he is gone, because we all go sometime, but that he didn't get to old age. I can just see him as the Great ElderGoth, sitting on his porch with his cane and screaming at kids to get off his motherfucking lawn. In those exact words.

Haha, I know, right? He was already pretty damn crotchety and brooding, but of course, that was half the appeal, at least I think so. But I agree, he would've been the epitome of cantankerous old man, rumbling out obscenities in his thick Brooklyn accent while waving his gawthpimp!cane at the offending children XD. Ah, what might have been for Mr. Steele...but I'm truly sad he's gone; I just can't quite wrap my brain around the fact that there is no more Peter Steele. No more swooning at concerts, no new material (granted, it's their older stuff that was better, by far, in my opinion). None of that. It's really shitty. He was such a cool, funny, sexy guy! And he wasn't even old! I miss him lots ;_;.

No...he definitely did not. This time it's for good. I'm really sad about it. I kicked it with Lara last night at Nate's b-day party/Peter's Death-day party...it was nice to have someone who understood to commiserate with and just get drunk, make silly Type O related references, imitate Peter Steele (he was such a funny guy and this concert dvd we both own has a ton of weirdo special "behind the scenes on the tour bus" stuff, plus interviews, bits of which have become inside jokes for Lara and I over the years), etc. He would have wanted it that way, I think. And I'm very inspired to do illustrations for some of his songs, like "Creepy Green Light", and a Vampire!Peter Steele (or possibly just a very sexy postmortem Steele) with a pretty goth girl in a rather suggestive pose and title it "Loving you was like loving the dead". Stuff like that. I miss him, so much, and I didn't even know him personally...but I feel like I did. I just got over the impact of one death, only to have to deal with another. Damn. "Everyone I love is dead" (or ( ... )

Of course. Haha, he looks appropriately irritated in said icon XD. Glad you like the drawing. I'm pretty proud of it, myself. *marvels at the largeness of his hands* That's on a somewhat unrelated note. They're friggin' huge...just like everything on the guy XD.

You're welcome, and thank you for being awesome, as well. It was fun times. I dunno if you've got my message, but on Thursday I'm going to Milwaukee to see Crispin Glover at the Oriental, so that ain't gonna fly for our little DVD party. Let me know when will work for you; I'm wide open. Like an anus.
