2. People that are sad because they think they're so much smarter than everyone else, and they wish they could go back to being 'ignorant'
3. That the buttered side always lands facing down

There is a scientific reason for bread / toast / buttered product to nearly always land buttered side down. It's mearly to do with the fact that most work surfaces are the same height. And when an object (such as a slice of toast) falls off, it only has enough distance to complete half a rotation. Now endeth todays science lesson :]
