What say ye - especially tviokh and the people who actually watch this journal regularly - of making this a closed community? That is, requiring an application of some sort to become a member. I really don't want to be reduced to the stupidity prevalent in comms such as slytherin and more recently in dracomalfoys, but it seems letting in idiots is the only way to generate

I say close it. Or make it a rating community where people post an application and have the members be the sorting hats. :) That way we'll get a general idea of how much of an idiot the person is before they're allowed in. Besides, the mods can kick them out easier that way.

I think that sounds good. I'm new to the community, only joined last week, but there is no questioning my pureblood superiority. However, It seems some of the people who join these communities may be simply putting on some wish-they-were act. Elitism is the only answer to cleanliness and the sort of excitement we need.
