Dude, don't go look at torch_wood. There's a post there that links to some of RTD's quotes from EW. Yeah....not pretty. After reading that...what little hope I have for Ianto coming back..dead.
That's what I was referring to in my post. I never really thought he was coming back, but I still think RTD is really underestimating the fans. "It's just a few fans typing..." uh, sure it is. Does he know that one of the leaders of the saveianto campaign has had an interview with BBC Wales on the radio and two articles in Welsh news online? For me I just want to stop the BBC allowing RTD to make any more and ruin this fandom completely. Cause that's the way it's heading....
I really, really, REALLY hope that the BBC comes in and is all "we want $$$, we want rating, RESET" and totally piss on RTD. It's been done here in the states, with enough fan outcry. I just hope it's the same in the UK.
Well, I haven't been massively involved with the campaign to save Ianto, but it's begun to draw quite a bit of media attention and seems to be getting bigger every day. I think as long as the fans don't let RTD piss on their parade, it could make quite an impact.
I saw HP this morning, I found a awful streaming (it's bad I know) a horrible french version, worse film ever !
I haven't send coffee, I have absolutely no money this month and to be honest, I have no hope at all, not anymore after this crap with RTD this morning.
I don't have hope that they'll bring Ianto back, but I'd like to make an impact on the BBC's decision to comission a new series. If they see that enough fans are unhappy with the last, they may not allow it without some changes and that would really fuck RTD off.
I was really close to posting my reaction to that interview with RTD last night, but decided to let my wank go. But really all I want to say is FUCK YOU RTD and I hope you get eviscerated this weekend.

RTD is a dick who doesn't care about the people who actually buy the dvds/attend the cons/buy the merch and whatever else we can. We're the reason that Torchwood has made any money at all and that interview was so disrespectful to us that I feel like chucking all my Torchwood stuff out the window. I don't see why the fans should be respectful to him when clearly, he couldn't care less about what we think. It's just money to him.
So many shows do this. They just assume that everyone is in love with the lead characters and don't pay much attention to supporting cast. Then they're surprised when people stop watching their show after the characters get killed off. If he hadn't made Gwen so 'in your face' and forced her down our throats every episode, we may have actually been able to view her as the hero she's meant to be.
The very first scene with Hart before any of the TW characters are involved when he picks up the man by his neck, carries him over to the edge of the roof of the parking garage and then just lets go.... very much pre chip, pre soul Spike. Made me wonder about the character of John Hart... that is impressive strength... Don't know many people who could do that.
LOL!!! DO IT!!! I love your idea. I've just got a job at the beeb and I'm making it a secret mission to draw mustaches on all the photos of RTD that I come across.
