My 6 year old daughter has a crush on a boy about her age living in the apartment complex. He clearly returns her affections. He's the super gorgeous, suave type of kid whose parents clearly spend more on his clothes than they do on their rent. He's even kinda nice, but his parents are, well... NOT. They are the kind of gross, icky, scary people

Oh, great. Another thing to look forward to (not). Maybe I should just lock up my kids in separate towers in the middle of some random wilderness.

Yes, the tower came to my mind as well. Unfortunately, my daughter has rather Rapunzel type hair.

Hmm. Sounds troublesome... a mini-Romeo and Mini-Juliet.

My niece just turned 7 last week and apparently recently received her first kiss from a boy (on her cheek). I love reminding my sister-in-law that the girl is only 8 years younger than she was when she met my brother.

Needless to say, the SiL doesn't enjoy it nearly as much as I do.

Yeah, I guess it's kind of mean of me... But I think she's aware of the speech I have prepared for potential suitors:

"Her father has a family to care for. I don't. No one will miss me if I go to jail, and I won't mind sitting there. Now, you two kids have fun."
