  • Nooby seems to be slowly recovering.  I still have to make his breakfasts more enticing by adding an egg to get him to eat it, but he eats dinner ravenously.  His digestion appears mostly normal, but I suspect it will take a while for things to heal up completely.
  • I finally got my blood sucked for the TSH test yesterday.  I am hopeful I'll have ( Read more... )

Hypothyroidism? I've missed this in previous bulletins - good luck with it and I hope you get the results you want.

Kristine - well already said it on FB - but will repeat here. She is a credit to her home schooling. The hours you put in, and the dedication you gave to her. You aren't just a proud mum bragging about her average child - you are bragging about a straight A's wonder child. Allow us to give you some of the applause and plaudits along with your daughter - she is exceptional - like her mom.

Yup. I'm pretty darn sure I've got a horrible case of hypothyroidism. My mom and sister both have been diagnosed with it, and I've really struggled this year (and past) with the symptoms. I am uninsured and therefore haven't had the resources to take the test to prove it and thus get me the prescription. With my tax return, I paid for the test out of pocket. Hopefully, this is the beginning to fixing several ills.

And thank you. Thank you very, very much. *hugs*

Your daughter is so blessed! She has an amazing mother too.

Holy moly! Yay, Kristine!!! I'm very proud of her. It can't have been easy to transition into public school and do so well.

Thanks, Rae! I dunno. Her first week was tough while she learned the social dynamics of mean boys, but she had a very good teacher who had her back, and by week 2, she was Miss Popular. She already has friends lined up to play with this summer. Clearly, she does not suffer from the social inadequacies of our youth, in spite of being a brain-child. She was also very helpful to her friends, loaning books and sharing her love of reading in order to help them excel with the AR program. She's pretty much the bestest kid ever!

She *is* the bestest kid ever. It might have something to do with the fact that she has the bestest mom ever.

Thank you! I'm hoping Monday or Tuesday will be the start to a whole new me (y'know, one who is awake, has hair in my head, non-snakelike skin, regular periods, etc.). *crosses fingers*
