Here is the promised lyrics quiz. It is both a lyrics quiz and a puzzle; there is a theme and a specific answer suggested by that theme. This one is audience participation; you get to post your own snippet for others to guess once you think you know the answer! Wow, what fun! It's pretty short (they can't all be 90 entries long).
THE RULES:
You must give both the artist and the correct title for full credit for the snippets.The answer is a specific word or concept suggested by the examples, and you should post a tenth snippet featuring that word or concept after the fashion of the examples. Others may guess your snippet in an attempt to discern the theme and answer.Use your own brainpower to answer. No search engines, databases, or outside consultation allowed until AFTER you've given your answers. Don't be a git. In fact, you might want to hold off on search engines and such until you've made a stab at the answer using others' guesses.The songs were selected to fit the theme; a few are rather obscure, but I figured that at least one of you would be able to get each one.The list below essentially contains all the information you need; there are no hidden answers, comment lines in the HTML source, etc. You might need to consult another page to figure out the exact answer once you've identified the snippets.Order and placement are critical.
