...the answer for the last lyrics quiz, which I never posted out of a seeming lack of interest, was that all of the snippets (except #0) were from the bridges of the songs from which they were excerpted. #0 was from "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and #19 was from "Seven Bridges Road." Hard to get if you don't know a majority of the songs--other quizzes you could get the theme from other songs answered, but if you don't know the song, you don't know where the bridge is.

Not lambasting you, but yeah, pretty obscure, so obscure that the answer-song had to be one you knew! Did you ever determine if deirdremoon actually got it?

Honestly, I didn't get it. I just happened to cull my lyrics from the bridge of the song I quoted because I thought they embodied the same emotion as the rest of the snippets.

The fact that no-one actually got it (although thistleingrey had an idea, but wasn't sure enough, because you DO have to know MOST of the songs!) points to, yeah, this one was too hard. There have been quizzes and people have come back with "SCREW YOU HIPPAY, THAT WAS WAAAAAY TOO HARD!!!" but someone has always gotten 'em, so they were just too hard for the people who DIDN'T GET them. Too hard for ALL of us (and I daresay your friends are cleverer than in generality) is probably too hard!
