Just in time--another lyrics quiz

   Wow, barely made the hour deadline. All right, here it is, the latest promised lyrics quiz. Frankly, I think it's too easy, and that it will be solved very fast. But there it is.

   THE RULES

You must give both the artist and the correct title (where possible) for full credit for the snippets.

The answer is a specific phrase suggested by the snippets.

Use your own brainpower to answer. No search engines, databases, or outside consultation allowed until AFTER you've given your answers. Don't be a git. Since this is both a lyrics quiz AND a puzzle, using a search engine to get the snippets and then answering on the theme is cheating.

The songs were selected to fit the theme; a few are rather obscure. None is deliberately so.

The list below essentially contains all the information you need; there are no hidden answers, comment lines in the HTML source, etc. Knowledge of the rest of the lyrics of the song from which a given snippet is taken may be relevant, however, as may the lyrics of the snippet itself.

Order and placement are critical.
