Gosh, even the description, "mad, bad, and dangerous to know" isn't original. I guess Arcee's just the next Lord Byron, then? And, y'know, with so many characters who can whoop everyone else's ass, how is anyone supposed to win?

Does this mean Arcee's going to be running around in a poet shirt, getting high on opium and writing love poems to her half-sister? 'Cause that, that could be kinda cool...

Seriously though, apparently Furman does not accept the idea of Transformers having gender and like a lot of fans, that crops up the most where female characters are concerned.

Apparently the only way he can write characters is to bad-assery-fy them.

Like, "oh noes! I cant write a silly Grimlock! Oh I know! I'll make him a bad-ass" or "Oh dear, I dont know how to write a sweet, mild-mannered Hound! Ooh wait, I'll make him a bad-ass" or "Dammit! How do I write a calm, level-headed Prowl?! Ah, yes, I'll make him a bad-ass".

I remember somewhere, that Furman had a hard time tryin to picture why the 'bots would have...genders I guess you could say. So he didn't know why there would be female 'bots. Just to let ya know...don't remember where I read it, but I do remember that...

So Arcee is a sexy female bot who likes to kill things. Like every other current female superhero in mainstream comics.

Sigh. If Transformers HAVE to be a gendered universe (which I hate) then I don't mind seeing savage kick-ass Arcee, just please, PLEASE change her color! That pepto bismol pink makes me want to puke. And why the hell would a robot need birthing hips, anyway.
