The Seattle Sounders won the A-League championships in 1995 and 1996. In the first case, it was the highest level of soccer in the U.S.

They just didn't have a big-league front office to get them the same attention.

OH! I was unaware. Of course I was (sadly) unaware we had a pro-soccer team anymore until recently.

At least I knew we had a hockey team so i'm not completely pathetic. :)

No problem. Not your fault the team has a crap PR budget.

I've been really annoyed lately by the media. The teams themselves are probably a lot the same - hard working, not high-paid, just trying to play. The Storm deserves the attention; I just wish the Sounders had gotten the same when they went to the final this year.
