1/16th of an inch. The steel is blued. The Steel Dictionary says that it means: Tempered Spring Steel Strip
Any medium or high carbon (excluding clock spring) strip steel of spring quality which has been hardened and tempered to meet specifications. Where specification calls for blue or straw color, same is accomplished by passing through heat prepared at proper temperature depending on color required. Blue is developed at approximately 600 (degrees) F.

The steel is very smooth and slidy on the top and bottom, the edges are a little rough, but they look like they've been ground enough to take burrs off.

62.5 thou is massively thick for steel boning on corsets and the like. It would only really of use as an under-busk to get a really flat front.

Most boning is around 20-30 thou.

Oh. I'm not a costumer. I just wear corsets and am trying to help out my company.

I'd be interested in about 100 feet of the stuff for now. The thirty cents per is great.

I'm interested in how much it weighs so I know if I need more muscle (ie. husband) to help tote it to it's new home (ie. a box in the garage).

It would be about 13 pounds. You should be able to cut it with a bolt cutter fairly easily or do you need it snipped to size beforehand?

Continuous is prefereable, since each corset and design has it's own length requirements. I'm still working out the bugs you see. :P

I should be able to pick it up around two this afternoon.

I'm in bellevue, could I come take a look at it this weekend? I might want some if I think it'll work. (.30 a foot would be fine).

Unfortunately the office is closed on the weekends. I could mail you a sample however.

We are open 8am to 5pm, though someone is here at 7am.

Fair warning though, if you haven't seen the prior discussions, this stuff is apparently very thick for a corsetry application.

Oh MAN, that's a hell of a thing to mess up.

It's awfully neat that suddenly Summerville is a hardcore-corsetry supply depot, though. :)

No kidding. Two guesses who did it and both would be right.

Seems so, huh?
