talk about being in a catch 22. so i have this job. it started out paying me really well, and it was easy work! so i went the extra mile to make my boss happy and possibly get a promotion b/c the company is new. Suggest to him that if you're so valuable to him in the position you're in, that you should at least get a raise to prove it.

he says its currently not in the budget. so im stuck. but it was worth a try.

i agree...def talk to him about a raise because that is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard of! you can still have their title and still do the kinda work you do just so you can get paid more. oh and p.s. where are you working, and where are you going to school???? miss you!!

Going back to school after dropping out and moving in with then boyfriend was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Congrats and good luck.

What kind of work are you doing now, anyway?

If you're so "valuable" to him... suggest that he either give you a raise (and fire one of those other asshats)... or promote you to their job, and keep your valuable ass to train/supervise the newbs. Or you threaten to quit, and then he just loses all around.
