I love Evergreen. I adore Ecological Design. This is exactly where i should be and I'm studying what i should be. Its just now, a quarter later, that i am starting to get it. In the world of real live education there arent the standardized grading checksheets, no project is expected to conform to a bulleted list of requisits in order to be ( Read more... )

That's great :)

Evergreen is one of those colleges that truly is "what you make of it."

It can either be a slacker school, or an irreplacable resource for people who truly want to LEARN. Most of the people I've known that have gone there went there simply because "Hey! No grades!" or whatever - an "easy way out" of college, so to speak.

I'm glad to hear you're liking it. I didn't dig the atmosphere when I visited - I knew all I'd ever do would be slack off. :)

I enrolled in the most intensive engineering design class I could find. Slacking off is not even an option. Its such a contrast to the people I live with who are these over-rich straight-out-of-high-school girls who would rather drink and smoke at 11 am every day than go to class. The dorms here are pretty lame.

Dude mine too. I love the dorm though. So much better than an apartment :O

When I was going to go there I'd have been studying some pretty slackable stubjects, though - theatre, history... yeah. ;)

I need more structure in my education - I do well in a traditional scholastic environment.

Ack holy shit I've got to go to work. My academic philosophy diatribe can wailt. ;)

Your school better be the best darn thing ever invented since sliced bread after all the work we did to get you there. I hope they appreciate how honored they are to have you.
