St. Louis ranked as the tenth-most miserable city in the nation.

I'm not especially surprised.

Of course, Chicago ranked #3, which I'm sure will just fuel even more St. Louis angst over not being Chicago. Chicago even out-does us in miserableness! Blast!

I gotta say, I'm really surprised Pittsburgh isn't on that list.

I believe it, I'm pretty miserable here.

Memphis though, really? I wouldn't have figured they'd be in the top ten.

Ok it pissed me off that I had to go search for the list in that article! If your headline is Top 10 anything, don't blah blah about it without the LIST. :)

NOT surprised Miami is on the list.

Whoo! WE'RE NUMBER 3! WE'RE NUMBER 3!

(By the way...this is from long ago, but I remember after that party I had that everyone came too...which was awesome!...I saw in your old blog months afterwards that some of the people there made you uncomfortable. And that Turtle said it was because people from Chicago are snobby. I always wanted to explain that I remember the people who were in the room when you got there and much as I love them, they are not exactly Chicago people. They were actually my suburban friends who don't use the computer much and were probably very weirded out that this strange girl they'd never heard of before drove up for my birthday party all the way from St. Louis and it was the first time we'd "met." My friends who live in Chicago understand virtual friendships a bit more, but they hadn't shown up yet. Just always wanted to let you know, and very sorry for my friends being unfriendly.)
