So, after the wonderful event in which I played 20 minutes of music and got paid $100 to do so, I walked home with Abby. Now, I really can't say that I've known her other than "That blond bass drummer" but I did know her name. Without really thinking, we both just started talking to one another. She's a history major, medieval(!), she likes England

I recommend saying something like, "hey, I had fun walking back from the concert with you the other day, wanna hang out and get coffee or something (later, tonight, tomorrow, Saturday, etc)?"

From a chick's perspective "hanging out" sounds a lot more fun and has a lot less pressure than "go out with me" or "go on a date"
